R.I.P. Tuffy, Our Best Friend.

With great sadness and heavy hearts, we wanted to let Tuffy's many fans know he passed away late Sunday. We don't really know what happened, just that he was fine Saturday. It was very fast and he didn't suffer. We noticed around noon his eyes looked a little dull, and he wasn't moving around much. He came out of his piggy house later, but went back in soon after that and didn't come out again. He didn't eat much at all, except for a nibble of carrot.

Then for the last hour and a half, he had his head in the house's window, as if he wanted to say goodbye. Paul and I were with him until the end. He was shaking a little and turned away from us at times, as if he didn't want us to see him like that. We told him we loved him, we were lucky to have found him, and he was such a good friend to us. At the very end, he seemed to be biting the windowsill and then made a little gasping sound. And then, we think it was over.

We'll miss you, Tuffy, and we know your fans will too. If any of you would like to share a memory, or maybe one of Paul's stories of Tuffy, please leave a comment. We'll keep the blog up for as long as people are interested. Thank you for sharing your enjoyment of Tuffy with us.
